PopCap Celebrates Bejeweled(R)'s 10th Birthday with Year-Long Celebration, 50 Millionth Unit Sold

SEATTLE and DUBLIN, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- PopCap Games, maker of some of the world's most popular video games, today announced that it will mark the 10th birthday of its flagship franchise Bejeweled® with a 10-month long celebration beginning today. Throughout 2010 PopCap will introduce new installments in the Bejeweled lineup, hold the first-ever community-wide competition for Bejeweled Blitz, and stage exciting promotional activities such as the upcoming "Show Your Bejeweled Love" contest. PopCap also announced today that Bejeweled has now sold more than 50 million units, making it one of the top ten best-selling video games of all time — and the company continues to sell a copy of Bejeweled every 4.3 seconds.
