Popular Preschool Series Counting with Paula Enters China

SINGAPORE, Oct. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Singapore-based award-winning computer graphics animation company Omens Studios has successfully sold seasons 1-3 of its flagship preschool edutainment title "Counting with Paula" to China Central Television for terrestrial broadcast and to iQiyi for online distribution. In addition, the studio has completed investment deals with Beijing-based Feng Media and Huacheng Media for Counting with Paula seasons 4 and 5 and an animated feature film based on the same IP.

Following its broadcast in Singapore on Mediacorp Okto Channel in 2015, the series has seen global success with viewers from the United States, South Korea, Spain, Russia, the Middle East and now in China, from networks that include Amazon Prime, Canal+, Al Jazeera, CJ Entertainment to Televisio De Catalunya.

Counting with Paula is a 180 x 11' CG animated series produced in HD1080 for 3 to 6 year-olds. It aims to make learning about numeracy, literacy and social development skills, fun, easy, and entertaining. The series features Paula and her friends, Tim, Billy, Chalkie, Calc and the Numbers as they go on exciting adventures to colourful and exotic places, where they solve problems and make new friends.

Counting with Paula seasons 4 and 5 will be completed for release in 2019 and 2020 respectively along with multiple interactive applications based on the IP, while the animated feature film will go into pre-production by 1Q 2019 and is slated for release in 2020.
