Power Survey Issued Ninth U.S. Patent For Contact Voltage Detection

NEW YORK, Aug. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Survey, the industry leader in providing critical contact voltage detection services to electric utilities and municipalities, has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 9,110,120, entitled "Apparatus and Method for Monitoring and Controlling Detection of Stray Voltage Anomalies" to Power Survey.  This patent, the ninth related to Power Survey's contact voltage detection technology, represents the latest addition to Power Survey's rapidly growing intellectual property tool kit that began in 2007 with U.S. Patent 7,248,054, titled "Apparatus and Method for Detecting an Electric Field." 

Power Survey's technology rapidly and effectively identifies utility system faults, allowing for prompt repairs that improve the safety and reliability of electric distribution systems.  This new patent is based on technology developments led by David Kalokitis, Chief Technology Officer of Power Survey Company, and former Director of Utility Products and Services at SRI International, Princeton N.J.
