PPI Board Elects Jeb Burns as Vice Chair
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI) has elected Jeb Burns to serve as its next vice chair. Burns was elected to serve on the PPI Board of Directors in October 2015 and has served on PPI's Program Committee.
"Jeb has made tremendous contributions to the board in a relatively short time, not to mention his significant impact on PPI's program development. I am delighted that the board has chosen Jeb to step forward into the vice chair role, with Adrian Orr as chair, and potentially to serve as board chair in two years, after Adrian completes his term," said PPI President Lionel C. Johnson.
Burns also serves as the chief investment officer for the Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS) of Michigan, an independent statutory public corporation and one of the 200 largest pension funds in the United States. He is responsible for directing the Fund's $10 billion investment program. Jeb holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Western Michigan University and a Master of Public Administration at Wayne State University. He also holds a Professional Directors Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors.
