An industry first in China, the PR Newswire China Multimedia Communications Awards 2012 were hosted by PR Newswire and co-organized by Imagine China and TFM&A China. With more than 50 organizations submitting entries from when nominations were first sought in July, 2012, this year's jury members included Ninan Chacko (CEO, PR Newswire), Jerome Lacrosniere (Founder and Managing Director of Imagine China), Xu Jin (Partner of China & CEO, Lintas China Co.Ltd.) and Feng Bingqi (Ph.D. Associate Professor of the Communications University of China). Aside from the sought-after PMCA trophy, the winners could also see their winning submissions displayed on the Reuters' Billboard in Times Square, New York.

The esteemed Grand Award 2012 winners were Air China and Lushan Tourism Co., Ltd.; while the Best Integrated Multimedia Communications Award went to Mercedes-Benz (China) Ltd., LEGO China, Tourism Australia, 3M China Ltd. and Western China International Fair. Other winners included those recognized for Best Communications with Photos, Outstanding Multimedia Communications and Best Multimedia Communications Platform.

Air China and Lushan Tourism Co., Ltd. – the Grand Award winners – are perfect examples of how Chinese organizations are now practicing global communications while also using multimedia content to achieve their messaging objectives.
