SAN DIEGO, Jan. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Camouflage face paint company Predator Warpaint has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the company announced today. The goal of the campaign is to give backers an opportunity to show their support for the US military, in addition to pre-ordering packs of the company's signature camo face paint.
Predator Warpaint is high-performance skin protection for hunters and military personnel. The camouflage face paint allows the wearer to blend seamlessly into the background, while shielding against harmful UV rays and helping to prevent burns and skin cancer at the same time.
Predator Warpaint is the first company of its kind to incorporate SPF 50 sun protection directly into its face paint formula. The paint is water resistant, sweat resistant and smear-proof, and lasts up to 4+ hours without reapplying.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will have the opportunity to pre-order packs of Predator Warpaint and other Predator Warpaint gear for themselves, in addition to purchasing units for donation to various military organizations. "Donating face paint to the military is a great way to show your appreciation, because it's something these guys use every day when they're in the field," says Predator Warpaint co-founder and CEO Nick Norris.
Predator Warpaint was inspired by Norris's own experience in the armed forces. Norris spent 10 years on active duty as a Navy Seal, and recalls having problems with the standard-issue camo face paint used in the field. "The camo face paint that was issued to us never prevented sunburns during multi-day training events, and it usually ended up sweating off my face before we even made it to our hide site," says Norris of the face paint products he would use while serving.
With Predator Warpaint, Norris wanted to create a product that would solve these problems for future generations of servicemen and women. "Our armed forces deserve innovation in every product they use in the field -- and face paint is no exception. Predator Warpaint is proud to be moving camo face paint technology forward, and building a brand that warriors everywhere can trust to create products that go as far as they do."
