Attraction Stages Presidential Group Portrait in Lobby of Famed "Residence of the Presidents," the Landmark Willard InterContinental Hotel as Part of Anniversary Celebration

WASHINGTON, Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of its first anniversary and the coming Presidents Day holiday, The Presidents Gallery by Madame Tussauds (1001 F Street, NW, corner of 10^th and F Streets) announced today that it will grant free admission (with valid ID) to anyone who shares their birthday with a U.S. President, starting Friday, February 17 and continuing through Monday, February 20.

In addition to the offer of special admission, as part of the anniversary celebration, Madame Tussauds also gathered the wax figures of all the Gallery's 43 U.S. Presidents to stage a group portrait in the lobby of the famed "Residence of the Presidents," the landmark Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington D.C.  "It's hard to believe the Presidents Gallery has already been open for a year," said Dan Rogoski, General Manager of The Presidents Gallery by Madame Tussauds.  "The Gallery has been an incredible success since launching a year ago and the response from guests has been amazing.  We look forward to continuing to provide visitors with a truly educational and immersive experience, while expanding on our interactive journey through America's history."

Most recently, the Gallery expanded its roster of historic figures with the induction of a new wax likeness of the renowned abolitionist and conductor of the Underground Railroad, Harriet Tubman.
