Press Briefing to Kick Off Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day Event

WHAT:  Press briefing prior to kick off of events related to Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day (IGOLD).

WHO:  Richard Pearson, Executive Director, Illinois State Rifle Association, various members of the Illinois General Assembly

Mr. Pearson and members of the General Assembly will address the press regarding the IGOLD rally, which is expected to bring several thousand law-abiding firearm owners to the Capitol to lobby legislators on firearms rights issues.  Topics to be discussed by Mr. Pearson and the legislators will be efforts to pass concealed carry in Illinois along with planned legislative countermeasures to recent gun control bills introduced by the Chicago delegation.  Due to the closure of the Capitol Blue Room, this press briefing will take place adjacent to the main stage at the convention center.
