Birzer, the College's Russell Amos Kirk Chair in History, for winning the 2016 Paolucci Book Award for his biography, Russell Kirk: American Conservative. The Paolucci Award is presented annually by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute in honor of Henry and Anne Paolucci to recognize "the best book that advance conservative principles."

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute will honor Birzer at the Paolucci Award Dinner on Oct. 1.
