NEEDHAM, Mass., Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Promisec, a pioneer in Endpoint Detection and Response, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Simo Kamppari as CEO and President, effective immediately.
Kamppari, a partner at Synetro Group, has served on Promisec's Board since 2012.

Kamppari joined Synetro Group, a private equity investment and strategic advisory firm in 2010 as an operating partner. At Synetro, he has been actively engaged on strategy and operational performance at the board level of portfolio companies, and in supporting management teams in driving execution of high priority initiatives.
Previously, he served as a consultant at McKinsey and Company for five years, working with technology and financial services clients on board level issues related to strategy, operational performance improvement, and organizational design.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Kamppari was a Group Manager at Oracle Corporation. In this role he led the development of applications software for sales analysis and budgeting, and drove numerous enhancements to the software development approach utilized by the organization.
Kamppari holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
