New brand strategy and visual identity launched today
SAN FRANCISCO, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Prophet, a leading strategic brand and marketing consultancy, announced that its client Novant Health launched a new brand strategy that brings together all facilities and capabilities across the system into a single brand. The plan unites multiple, distributed points of care under the Novant Health umbrella.
Formed in 1997, Novant Health is an integrated network that includes 13 acute care locations, more than 100 outpatient facilities and over 350 physician practice facilities in four states.
Recently, Novant Health implemented a series of transformations to reinvent the healthcare experience to be simpler, more convenient and more affordable, enabling patients to focus on getting better and staying healthy. The new strategy develops additional programs, capabilities and care models to deliver remarkable care to patients and communities. Novant Health partnered with Prophet to develop the new strategy, positioning and visual identity based on the existing Novant Health mission, vision and values.

As part of the brand launch, Novant Health will adopt a visual identity to signal continuity and approachability to patients who will see the same familiar, reassuring brand across geographies and points of care. The visual identity includes a bold N--reflecting the strength of Novant Health's system and the significant changes it is making in the industry. The N: symbol embodies the concept of a colon that never stands alone. It is always followed by a message--a thought, an explanation, a statement or the start of a dialogue. The identity is rendered in aubergine and charcoal, and the colon forms an H in the negative space. The new logo helps to inspire and connect employees, patients and the community in a forward-thinking healthcare dialogue.
As part of the integrated brand strategy, today Novant Health physician clinics also launched an enhanced patient portal at MyNovant.org to provide a variety of services to all site visitors. Visitors will now be able to pre-register for appointments, pay bills, search a library of trusted health information, connect with Novant Health social media sites, and find a clinic or physician through the site.
Also, Novant Health today introduced a "Remarkable Moments" page that will serve as a channel to share and collect healthcare experiences and stories that make an experience truly remarkable. The site will serve as a channel to share and collect stories from across the Novant Health organization.
The launch kicked off internally in February, with an employee engagement event that convened 1,000 Novant Health leaders in Charlotte, NC for training, education, and engagement. Today, employees will come together to celebrate this milestone in Novant Health history and showcase their commitment to the new brand strategy. Activities will continue over the next few months as the new brand is rolled out system wide.
