SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Investigative documentary "Billion Dollar Bully" attracts attention across the country after releasing an exclusive clip on Indiegogo. Three days after opening its second and final funding campaign, the film has secured over 25% of the requested funding.
"Billion Dollar Bully" examines Yelp and the accusations of extortion and review manipulation. For several years business owners have claimed that Yelp manipulates reviews on their pages when declining to pay for advertising with the internet marketing giant. The producers at Prost Productions have explored these complaints, and have scrutinized Yelp's defenses to the accusations. What started as a small, unknown project in early 2015 swelled into a national investigation after its first fundraising campaign made national headlines and Yelp saw a 4% dip in their stock.
The film is now in post production and producers have reached out to the public on Indiegogo for funds to complete the film. Producers are in talks with distributors and the movie is slated for release five months after finishing their fundraising campaign.
