ProteanDRIVE® In-Wheel Motors on show at Auto Shanghai 2017
SHANGHAI, April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Protean Electric, a global electric drive technology company, will feature its ProteanDRIVE® in-wheel motors on two vehicles at Auto Shanghai 2017, the largest automotive trade show in the world, establishing itself as the commercial leader of in-wheel electric drive solutions in the automotive industry.
The expected one million visitors to the 17th International Automobile Industry Exhibition in Shanghai this April will be able to view the company's 18 inch ProteanDRIVE® product on a BJ80 PHEV being shown by Beijing Automotive, and on a London Taxi EV Demonstrator being shown by VIE Science and Technology.
Both exhibits are part of Protean Electric's long term strategic and product development partnerships with Beijing Automotive and VIE Science and Technology.
China Engineering Sciences Academic and world-renowned vehicle dynamics expert, Professor Guo Kong-hui, exclaimed when he rode on the BJ80 PHEV last year, "This pioneering demonstrator has combined a traditional powertrain with in-wheel motors.
