PSCA Announces Suspension of 2018 Tour
HOUSTON, Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the past four seasons the Professional Sporting Clay Association (PSCA) has made great progress to the benefit of the sporting clays community. By creating and managing the professional side of the sport, it has increased awareness and participation to attract new shooters to the sport.
The PSCA has enjoyed tremendous support from individuals and several key sponsors. Financial support has been graciously provided by key sponsors and from its founders.
As a strategic decision, the PSCA is undergoing a deep analysis on ways to provide even greater value to both shooters and sponsors to ensure the financial sustainability and the continued growth of the organization for the benefit of all.
The PSCA has delayed the announcement of the 2018 Pro Tour while we evaluate and implement changes for the future direction of the PSCA. The staff of the PSCA, in addition to many of the PSCA professional shooters and other interested parties are working hard to ensure the economic viability of the individual 2018 tour events. The events will be announced as these details are secured.
To ensure the PSCA progresses efficiently, it has engaged Ted Sapoznik, a shooter with over 15 years of sporting clays experience, to lead the assessment effort. He will work closely with Scott Robertson and Judy Morris to determine the necessary elements to ensure the support of sponsors and the shooting community. Additionally, the PSCA has contracted with Hearst Media for support in both communications and marketing.
