CHICAGO, Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) announced the winners of the 2014 Signature Awards during a luncheon presentation at PSCA's 67th Annual National Conference at The Turnberry Isle, Aventura, Florida.
"The PSCA Signature Awards recognize the most effective and creative plan sponsor and participant communication and education in the retirement industry," said Robert Benish, PSCA's Executive Director. "Despite resource, time, and budget restraints, plan sponsors and providers continue to work closely together to create innovative solutions that produce results. Through their efforts they are helping millions of Americans better prepare for their retirement."
This year, Signature Awards judges recognized 34 winners in 13 categories. A group of 27 plan sponsors and communication experts reviewed more than 200 entries during an intense day in July. Collectively, they evaluated editorial, design, and implementation of plan participant, plan sponsor, and general public defined contribution communication and investment communications. Signature Awards judges carefully review the metrics provided with each entry and analyze how effective the campaign was at achieving stated goals.
"What impresses me is how much companies care about how they can help their employees better understand some complicated and technical information about their retirement plans. They are combining new media and traditional approaches to engage, motivate, and educate diverse employee populations to take action. The result is that they are enrolling more employees in plans and educating them about how to save more for their retirement. Both plan sponsors and providers are beginning to take broader views and are beginning to make an impact on improving financial literacy and promoting financial wellness. Their efforts are helping millions of Americans better prepare for a stronger, better retirement," Benish said.
The winners of the 2014 Signature Awards were celebrated at the National Conference and are featured in the 2014 Signature Awards Magazine, an annual publication that describes the details of the winning entries and their successful results. The Signature Awards Magazine is used by industry experts to increase the quality and effectiveness of defined contribution education and communication at hundreds of other plan sponsor companies.
