PURE Insurance Continues Expansion, Appoints General Counsel and Actuary
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Privilege Underwriters, Inc., the holding company of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies, today announced the appointment of Steven Oakley as Chief Actuarial Officer and Mark Musser, Esq. as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.

As Chief Actuarial Officer, Mr. Oakley will oversee product development, rate making and analytics. Prior to joining PURE, Mr. Oakley served as Chief Actuary for Consumer Markets with the Hartford, where he was responsible for assessing and managing the performance and risks of the company's personal lines products. Previously, Mr. Oakley served on the leadership team of Response Insurance, an automobile insurance carrier.
In his position, Mr. Musser will oversee the legal, compliance and governmental affairs of the PURE Group of Insurance Companies. Mr. Musser comes to PURE from Selective Insurance Company of America in Branchville, NJ, where he served as vice president and General Counsel and led a team of fifteen. His experience also includes roles as Assistant General Counsel with Zurich American Insurance Company and Kemper Casualty Company.
