Pursuant Chosen Second Consecutive Year as a Pixie Award Winner
DALLAS, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Pursuant, a full-service comprehensive fundraising and communications consulting firm, was notified that it's being honored as a recipient of three Pixie Awards. Sponsored by the American Pixel Academy, the Pixie Awards recognize outstanding creativity in motion graphics, effects, and animation in video. Pursuant is honored to be recognized for our work.
The two winning pieces include three awards:
- South Carolina 2012 Cocky's Countdown – Cocky's Dilemma video (gold for motion graphics)
- Worcestor Polytechnic Institute 2012 video (gold for motion graphics and gold for third effects)
Explaining the significance of receiving the 2013 Pixie Awards, Monty Wooldridge, Creative Director for Pursuant shares, "Great storytelling begins, of course, with a great story, but to maximize impact you have to break the story down. You have to find its most compelling parts then reassemble them in such a way that moves the viewer to your core message. Motion graphics, special effects and animation are often the difference between just telling a story and the viewer being truly moved and influenced by it. Winning a Pixie Award is great confirmation that we are being good stewards with the incredible stories our clients trust us to tell on their behalf."
The American Pixel Academy has the goal of connecting creative visual professionals in the pixel media with educators who are giving wings to the next generation of creative professionals. Currently 92% of all video production now uses Motion Graphics, Effects, or Animation. The Pixie Awards were created to honor the highly innovative people who are bringing "pixel magic" to the industry.
The organization was founded by a coalition of professionals and educators in the field of pixel media. The Pixie Awards are under the direction of David E. Carter, a multiple Emmy and Clio winner who, as a young ad man, founded the Telly® Awards, and also edited the Creativity annual for 10 years.
