NEW YORK, April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The QBE Foundation has awarded $91,000 in grants to programs provided by 15 charitable organizations around the country.
"We selected these charities from a pool of nominations that came from our employees," says Foundation Chair Sue Harnett. "From medical research to education for at-risk children, these groups provide vital services that enhance quality of life for many people."

- Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), Arlington, Va.
- Feed My Starving Children, Coon Rapids, Minn.
- Muscular Dystrophy Association, Tucson, Ariz.
- OneOC, Santa Ana, Calif.
- Blind Children's Learning Center, Santa Ana, Calif.
- John Eaton Home and School Association, Washington, D.C.
- Women Helping Women/ Men 2Work, Santa Ana, Calif.
- Children's Theater of Madison (CTM), Madison, Wis.
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Bethesda, Md.
- Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind, Warrington, Pa.
- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, White Plains, N.Y.
Since its formation in 2011, the QBE Foundation has given away more than $3.2 million to eligible charities in North America. In addition, parent company QBE Insurance Group Limited has authorized QBE North America to give away additional grants of $490,000 to approved organizations.
