(the "Company") (NYSE: QTS) today announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of 2,000,000 shares of its Class A common stock by a selling stockholder affiliated with General Atlantic LLC. The Company will not receive any proceeds from this offering. The selling stockholder has granted the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase an aggregate of up to an additional 300,000 shares of common stock.
The offering is being made pursuant to a shelf registration statement on Form S-3 that was previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and became effective on November 25, 2014. A prospectus supplement relating to the offering will be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
