Quizzle.com Paves Path to Improved Consumer Credit Health with Free VantageScore Credit Score
VantageScore model used by thousands of companies to make actual lending decisions
DETROIT, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit-based Quizzle.com, the national free credit report and monitoring site, today announced it will begin providing consumers with a free VantageScore credit score to help them further determine their credit worthiness and opportunities.
"Many folks don't realize how important their credit health is until they try and buy a home, finance the purchase of an automobile or simply apply for their first credit card," said Todd Albery, Chief Executive Officer of Quizzle.com. "Quizzle's offering of the VantageScore model will give people a simple and accurate tool to check their credit score before jumping into a large purchase."
The VantageScore model uses an innovative and patented scoring methodology that seeks to provide lenders and consumers more consistent credit scores across all three national credit reporting companies. Last year, VantageScore Solutions, the company behind the VantageScore model, introduced its most comprehensive model yet, VantageScore 3.0, which offers enhanced accuracy by using more granular data in conjunction with improved modeling techniques.
In addition to providing consumers free credit reports and scores to measure their credit health, Quizzle.com has developed innovative online tools enabling consumers to gain a complete understanding of their home, money and credit.
"Studies have shown that consumers who have had recent access to their credit score know more about the ins-and-outs of credit scoring, and therefore become better managers of their credit profiles," said Barrett Burns, Chief Executive Officer of VantageScore Solutions. "Now Quizzle.com users can do so by using the same model thousands of lenders use."
Quizzle.com will also be offering Equifax credit reports with the new VantageScore credit score and is teaming with Equifax to provide premium credit monitoring solutions to consumers.
"Equifax empowers consumers with the confidence, tools and information they need to be at their financial best," said Laurie Kolb, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Partners, Equifax. "Teaming with Quizzle.com is a great means for furthering our goals and we are pleased to be working with them."
