BOSTON, Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cynthia Kinnas, president of Randstad Healthcare, was recently appointed to two key positions within the healthcare industry. Kinnas, an industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, will serve as president of the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations (NATHO), as well as chairman of the Healthcare Section Policy Council of the American Staffing Association (ASA). Both appointments will begin January 1, 2013.

NATHO, a not-for-profit organization whose goal is to encourage ethical business practices in the healthcare travel industry, provides standards and best practices in delivering exceptional service to healthcare travel professionals, organizations and patients. The American Staffing Association is the leading advocate for the interests of staffing and recruiting firms across all industries nationwide.  As chairman of the ASA healthcare section policy council, Kinnas will work with ASA and its board of directors to spearhead programs and services that meet the sector's needs within the association.

"Healthcare will continue to be one of the most important issues facing our country and I am proud to serve on two councils that will provide guidance and direction to critical issues ultimately impacting all industries," said Kinnas. "As we head closer into next year, organizations must work together on policies and standards that positively affect our level of service and the industry as a whole. I look forward to extending my roles with NATHO and ASA and working to further promote an industry that upholds the highest standards and practices."

In 1993, Kinnas founded Randstad's travel nurse staffing company (formerly known as Clinical One) and today oversees Randstad Healthcare's nursing and allied health division. A leader in the healthcare industry, Randstad, the second-largest staffing and HR-services company in the world, continues to encourage growth and knowledge in all areas of healthcare in order to better understand the changing needs of its landscape today and tomorrow.
