Under DeVaughn's direction, the center will provide best practices in social media, recruitment marketing and the utilization of new and established communication channels. DeVaughn will also lead the COE's innovation program to drive strategies that support continued alignment of client employer brands with the needs and expectations of potential candidates.
Known as an industry thought leader in social media strategies, DeVaughn is consistently ranked as one of LinkedIn's top 10 most connected women. She has delivered insight on social media strategies for recruiting at SXSW, mRecruitingcamp, SHRM Talent Management and Leadership Conferences and the Recruiting Innovation Summit held at Facebook headquarters. Her expertise has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and on NBC, among others.
Previously, DeVaughn was social media manager at Waste Management, where she was responsible for communication strategies covering the company's multiple social media platforms. Earlier in her career, she served as director of social strategy at Bernard Hodes Group, where she developed solutions to help organizations leverage digital tools to enhance their employment brands. During her tenure, DeVaughn was also as the vice president of social media for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Atlanta chapter.
