Following on from the 'Songs From Chaos' tour in Central Australia, Raw Material 'Raw Roads' international tour is heading to Sudan this week to deliver masterclasses, workshops and a large festival event in Khartoum at the National Museum.
This is a British Council supported programme with Raw Material artists Potent Whisper and producer DJ Wu-Lu.
During 2013, Raw Material have carried out four international projects - in Senegal, France, Australia and Sudan, hosted placements from Kwa Mashu township South Africa and completed a 12-date UK tour, 'Turning Tides'.
These projects have all supported young UK artists to develop their local, national and transnational experience, supported their professional development and profile and enabled them to contribute to cross-cultural support, education, creative skills and the sharing of good practice across the diaspora.
