BROWNSVILLE, Texas, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Faith and love can get anyone through a crisis or even just a time of need. And author Annette L. Saenz testifies to this truth as she shares her life story in Prevail, unveiling experiences of young love, divorce, being a single mom, falling in love again, and the death of a parent. Her book addresses very common issues and problems that everyone faces every day, including a horrible, unexpected circumstance in which no one is truly prepared. She relives her near-death experience and how, through the grace of God and through the faith and love of family and friends, she survived. This is a true, inspirational story of a walking, talking, normal-breathing miracle - a miracle that led others to Christ, forgiveness, and a new way of living life.
Prevail acknowledges the power of God and His blessings. During times of personal turmoil, the author always turned to her faith for guidance. But it wasn't until she and her family were dealt with the devastating news that her health was so compromised she could possibly die, when the true meaning of faith was tested. God's grace and love of family and friends were the sustaining forces behind surviving a life-threatening lung condition called Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Her ultimate healing not only provided her with a new lease on life, but it also touched the lives of many others.
"…writing this book became my own personal therapy. But… it was evident that faith was what held me together," shares the author.
