Reagan National and Dulles International Airports Celebrate The Fourth of July with Patriotic-Themed Shopping and Dining
WASHINGTON, June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Shops and restaurants at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) will celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a patriotic-themed experience scheduled to run Friday, June 28th until Sunday, July 7th. The celebration will include red, white and blue menu items from participating restaurants, and specialty patriotic merchandise featured in spectacular window and table displays at participating shops.
"Thousands of travelers worldwide will be landing in DC for the holiday weekend. From the moment they arrive, our merchant community at both airports will welcome them with the spirit of patriotism and hospitality," said Clarence LeJeune, Regional Vice President of MarketPlace Development.
In addition, the shops and restaurants will be engaging passengers through social media and inviting them to participate in a fun photo contest called #BumpedIntoObama. Passengers can take a picture with "the President" in front of a pre-selected Reagan National or Dulles International airport store or restaurant. The photo contest will kick off on June 28th at the AMERICA! store located at both airports. The location will change each day and be announced via social media.
