LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Quill.com announced today that Dunder Mifflin, the de-fictionalized brand from "The Office", has signed on as a "friend" of "The Office" Wrap Party, which is being held May 4 in Scranton, Pa., where the long-running sitcom that inspired the brand is based.
The event, which includes a behind-the-scenes roundtable, a parade and street festival and a farewell celebration, is being attended by a number of the show's stars, writers and creators. Dunder Mifflin products will have a significant presence throughout the festivities.
"The Dunder Mifflin brand's momentum proves that it will be one of the show's enduring legacies," said Paul Bessinger, Director of Innovation. "We want to remind people that, while first-run episodes may be ending, a growing list of thousands of companies continues to have a little bit of 'The Office' in their office."
Launched in late 2011, the Dunder Mifflin brand has grown into one of the most successful brands in the office-supply industry. Its flagship copy paper has consistently ranked in the top five out of more than 100,000 SKUs on Quill.com, success that inspired the brand to expand beyond copy paper into ruled pads, Sharpies, Sticky Squares, storage boxes, Dixie cups and other products late in 2012. The brand's distribution expanded from the U.S. into Canada earlier this year. The NBCUniversal-Quill agreement was brokered by Joy Tashjian Marketing Group, L.L.C., licensing representative for NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group.
