LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "A Faire of the Heart," the annual fundraising gala for California non-profit Alliance of Housing and Healing, was held on August 24, 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel and brought in a record $180,000 for the newly formed organization. The 2011 gala was the debut for Alliance for Housing and Healing, which introduced to the community its comprehensive continuum of care and housing for those in poverty with HIV/AIDS.  It was established with the merger of two long-standing AIDS service agencies, The Serra Project and Aid For AIDS, which continue to operate under the new parent corporation.

The Crystal Ballroom and red carpet were filled with notable leaders in medical research, medical care and the entertainment community.  Dr. W. David Hardy, Holland Taylor and Barbara Lazaroff were honored for their significant contributions to the fields of HIV/AIDS, homelessness, hunger and medical research.  Award presenters were Dr. Michael Gottlieb, John Hanwell, and Michael Medico.  Also attending were Paolo Andino, Dr.  Peter Anton, Dr. David Blake, Dr. Antonio Conte, Frenchie Davis, Patrick Fabian, Conchata Ferrell,  Dr. Mark Honzel, Dr. Ziba Jalali, Daryl Johnson, Dr. Ali Khoynezhad, Oksana Kolesnikova, Barry Krost, Dr. Jordan Lake, David Levy, Dr. Phillip Mercado, Dr. Yoko Miyasaki, Dr. Ardis Moe, Dr. Phillip Musikanth, Judd Nelson, Dr. Richard Oravec, Father Chris Ponnet, Dr. Dale Prokupek, Dr. Peter Ruane, Jonathan Schreiber, David W.
