Farmers Insurance Claims Team Continuing to Assist Customers

LOS ANGELES, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As more storms move across much of Texas and Oklahoma, customers of Farmers Insurance who suffered losses from multiple severe weather systems that moved through multiple Midwestern states earlier in May, have begun to recover. Since the storms struck, Farmers Insurance representatives, agents and adjusters have continuously been assisting customers across the country.

Specialized catastrophe adjusters have been providing assistance to customers in the areas impacted by the storms. According to Rod Harden, head of catastrophe claims for Farmers Insurance, one key to a quick recovery is a speedy response, which is why Farmers Insurance immediately responds with the resources necessary to help customers.

Farmers Insurance expects to see more than 13,000 claims across seven impacted states including Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas. Insured damages stemming from these series of storms are likely to total nearly $105 million.

Oklahoma topped charts out of the seven impacted states reporting the most reported claims overall, predominately hail. This continues a trend noted in the Farmers Insurance Seasonal Smarts Digest, which found Oklahoma in the top five states for hail claims over the last two years for both homeowners and auto claims.

Harden recommends that everyone review the Seasonal Smarts Digest for tips on prevention and preparation for events like this when it comes to auto and home.
