Register Now for the Orange County SPCA 17th Annual Walk for the Animals Fundraiser Event
Come Walk with Your Dog to Benefit Animals in Need
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Register now and plan to attend the Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 17th annual Walk for the Animals event. Bring your dog and walk for charity at the organization's only major fundraiser of the year. Proceeds directly benefit programs for cruelty intervention, public education, pet-assisted therapy, and assistance to low income pet owners.
The event, hosted by presenting sponsor The Walking Company, will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Huntington Beach Central Park East located at Golden West St and Talbert Avenue behind Central Library. The approximate 1-mile walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges from family, friends and co-workers. Pledge prizes will be awarded. This year's theme is "Western Waggin Day". Special prizes for best country western Pet Costume and best Pet Trick.
Event day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Register now online at www.orangecountyspca.org or by calling (714) 964-4445. Pre-register in person at John's Philly Grille, located at 16061 Golden West Street in Huntington Beach on Saturday, September 6 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and receive a FREE order of John's fries as a special bonus. Individual registration is $25 or groups of 5 or more pay $20 per person through September 6. Registration price increases $5 after September 6.
