The global appetite for the final "Hunger Games" installment remained strong with another weekend atop the box office in 93 territories, including North America, as it added another $113.6 million for a worldwide total to-date of $440.7 million. Second place went to the debut of Disney/Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur," with an impressive $67.9 million in 40 territories this weekend and global sales to-date of $84.3 million.
Disney's release of Pixar's "Inside Out" led the DVD & Blu-ray Disc sales chart once again this week, as well as taking second place for the second straight week on our Movies on Demand chart, which was led by Amy Schumer in the R-rated comedy "Trainwreck." DVD & Blu-ray Disc rentals this week were dominated by the T-Rex powered "Jurassic World," followed by Dwayne Johnson in "San Andreas."
Fox's hit drama "Empire" topped the chart this week with the most engaged viewers in broadcast, while Fox Business Network's "Republican Presidential Candidates Debate" took the crown on cable, followed by "The Walking Dead" on AMC. Wrapping up this week's highlights, NBC's ever-popular "The Voice" led the combined broadcast and cable chart with Jordan Smith's live playoff performance of "Halo" generating 2.4M+ views on YouTube.
