Rep. Fattah Expects Federal Emergency Declaration for Pennsylvania
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA-02) issues the following statement concerning Hurricane Sandy:
"Hurricane Sandy is bearing down on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Middle Atlantic with a prediction of unprecedented ferocity. Governor Corbett has properly declared a state emergency and requested a federal declaration of emergency so Pennsylvania will be best positioned to aid our citizens in what's expected to be a massive cleanup and humanitarian recovery. I fully expect the Obama Administration and FEMA will make an expedited and favorable decision to declare the emergency in Pennsylvania so that we will have maximum federal resources to fight this storm and its aftermath."
