Reserve Officers Association Nathan Hale Awards go to Johnson & Johnson and Huntington Ingalls Industries

WASHINGTON, March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Reserve Officers Association (ROA) honored Johnson & Johnson and Huntington Ingalls Industries for their support of our Nation's Reserve Officers and veterans at its annual STARS Foundation Gala tomorrow.

Johnson & Johnson will be recognized for their history of valuing veterans' leadership and for serving the needs of veterans through innovative research and wellness programs. In recognition of the passage of the Jacob Sexton Military Suicide Prevention Act of 2014, Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN) will be honored with the Twice the Citizen award. Senator Donnelly, a member of the Senate Armed Serves Committee, championed the Jacob Sexton Military Suicide Prevention Act of 2014, signed by the President in January.  The law will help reduce the suicide rate among Reservists, as it requires an annual mental health assessment for all service members.  "The Reserve Components are an essential part of our country's military, and our nation is safer because of them. I am honored to be recognized by the Reserve Officers Association and thank the ROA for its tireless advocacy on behalf of service members," said Donnelly.
