The website is loaded with information and useful links for current insureds, prospective policyholders and agents. It features a sleek look, easy site navigation and a user-friendly intuitive search engine.

Aside from company history and financials, visitors to the site will also find the RetailFirst solution to industry-specific safety issues, agent and policyholder video testimonials, links on where to find a RetailFirst agent as well as learn more about state-of-the-art safety programs offered to RetailFirst policyholders.

The Lakeland-based company was founded in 1979 as the Florida Retail Federation Self Insurers Fund and quickly grew to become the largest workers' compensation self-insurance fund in the state of Florida. In November 2010, the Fund converted to RetailFirst Insurance Company, a stock insurance company within a mutual holding company system.

RetailFirst Insurance Company and its affiliate BusinessFirst Insurance Company make up RetailFirst Insurance Group, which is rated B++ (Good) by A.M. Best Company. Although the company has been in business for more than 34 years, it only recently became eligible to apply for a rating when it converted from a self-insurance fund to a stock insurance company.
