Retirement of Non-executive Director

Royal Dutch Shell plc (the "Company") (NYSE: RDS.A) (NYSE: RDS.B) announces that Christine Morin-Postel has indicated her intention to retire as a Non-executive Director of the Company at the 2013 Annual General Meeting to be held on May 21, 2013.

Christine Morin-Postel served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Royal Dutch Petroleum Company ( Royal Dutch ) and then as a Non-executive Director of the Company for a total period of nine years. She was a member of the Company's Audit Committee since the unification of Royal Dutch and The "Shell" Transport and Trading Company, p.l.c. in 2005 and served as Chairman of the Committee from 2008 until 2011.
