Revolabs Signs Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro
Revolabs Innovative Conference Telephone and Microphone now available through Ingram Micro North America
BOSTON, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Revolabs, Inc. today announced it has signed a North American distribution agreement with the world's largest IT distributor Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM). Going forward, Ingram Micro will be a distributor of Revolabs Wireless Audio Systems for Unified Communications. Ingram Micro will offer Revolabs FLX™, a line of wireless conference telephones, and the xTag BT™ wireless microphone to its North American network of value-added resellers (VARs). Revolab's wireless audio products are based on the company's revolutionary wireless audio technology that for years has delivered superior sound quality for audio and video conferencing to large conference rooms and boardrooms.
Revolabs' FLX™ and xTag BT™ products offer Ingram Micro VARs a unified communications solution for their end-users in mid-to-small-size conference rooms, home offices and desktops. These products support wireless operation, high quality wide-band audio, encryption, integrated Bluetooth® and support for both analog and IP all at an extremely competitive price point.
"Our relationship with Ingram Micro provides a win-win for both of our companies as well as for the channel," said Ezio Casalena, Revolabs Director of Global Distribution. "The FLX™ and xTag BT™ wireless audio products will allow VARs to build a strong and profitable business selling into enterprises that are looking for a high quality audio in their unified communication solution across the enterprise."
Under the terms of the agreement, Ingram Micro will offer Revolabs newest additions to its portfolio which deliver reliable, high quality and flexible high-definition audio, specifically to small- to mid-sized conference rooms and individual desktops. These unified communication solutions include:
- Revolabs FLX™ - a family of conferencing phones is designed for small and mid-sized conference rooms including executive desktops. These locations typically suffer the most from poor audio due to costs and lack of flexibility. The FLX™ product offers wireless microphones and a speaker that can be placed anywhere in a room to maximize the audio quality for phone, video or cell calls. The FLX™ can also bridge a phone line or cell call into a video call. With its private calling feature the FLX™ reduces overall cost by eliminating the need for both a standard phone and a conference phone.
- The xTag BT™ - designed for the desktop environment, this wireless microphone is an affordable, easy-to-use audio device for the individual desktop user. Revolabs xTag BT provides bi-directional audio and includes in-ear headphones so that the product works both as a microphone and headset. The xTag BT™ supports HFP and A2DP profiles allowing users to listen to their cell phone and music. Unlike most Bluetooth devices, Revolabs xTag BT™ also supports the wideband speech profile that transmits a wider frequency spectrum resulting in better audio quality.
"We're pleased to bring Revolabs' new offerings for enterprise-class audio communications solutions to the Ingram Micro VAR community," said Eric Kohl, Senior Director, Advanced Technology Division, Ingram Micro U.S. "Together with Revolabs, we will enable VARs to integrate these new offerings into their overall communications solutions for customers of all sizes. Revolab's innovative wireless audio solutions are an important addition to the overall Ingram Micro unified communications portfolio."
Revolabs and the Ingram Micro Advanced Technology Division will provide channel partners with the solutions, tools and resources to help grow their sales with Revolabs and achieve a consistent, competitive edge. In addition, VARs will be able to provide installation, maintenance and help desk services for Revolabs FLX and xTag BT™ products upon completion of training courses offered by Revolabs Academy.
