Richard Sandoval Restaurants Announces Alfonso Sumano As Executive Vice President
DENVER, Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Sandoval Restaurants (RSR), the world's leading Latin restaurant group, with 37 locations in Miami, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New York, Virginia and Washington, DC, as well as Dubai, Mexico, Qatar and Serbia, today announced the appointment of Alfonso Sumano to the position of Executive Vice President.
The announcement was made by chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval, who founded the company 17 years ago. Born and raised in Mexico, Sandoval is world renowned for his modern and coastal Mexican, Latin-Asian, Peruvian and Pan-Latin restaurant concepts.
"Alfonso and I share a passion for spreading Latin American cuisine and culture," said Chef Sandoval. "His vast tourism and partnership marketing experience will be instrumental to guiding the growth of Richard Sandoval Restaurants."
In his new role, Sumano oversees the day-to-day operation of the RSR group, ensuring that operating requirements and organizational objectives are met and in line with Chef Sandoval's mission. He is also charged with new business development and supervising revenue generation, marketing, PR and departmental performance.
Sumano joins the Sandoval team after 13 years in destination and partnership marketing with the Mexico Tourism Board, where he most recently was regional director for North America. Prior tourism board posts include regional director for Canada, director for the southern US and Colorado, deputy director for Canada and internal communications director.
