To seize on this expansion and growth, the Ricketts are introducing a new sports and entertainment agency Marquee Sports & Entertainment that will consolidate all Ricketts family-controlled partnership, premier, group, meeting and event sales opportunities at the Chicago Cubs, Park at Wrigley, Hotel Zachary, Wrigley Rooftops and American Airlines Conference Center under one roof.
This structure will allow clients to have a single point of contact creating a streamlined process to deliver sales, service and activation across multiple assets.
Whether entertaining 10 clients or reaching 3 million fans, Marquee Sports & Entertainment will deliver innovative, scalable and tailored solutions across sports, music and entertainment.
A separate entity from the Cubs, Marquee Sports & Entertainment will focus initially on selling across all Ricketts family assets. The agency also will offer consulting to sports and entertainment clients seeking to increase revenue opportunities.
To lead the agency, the Ricketts family turned within to leverage proven sales leadership and expertise.
Cubs Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships Allen Hermeling and Cubs Senior Director of Ticket Sales Andy Blackburn were recently named co-managing directors of the agency and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day sales operations.

While Blackburn and Hermeling will hold the same title, the two will have different responsibilities. Hermeling will lead partnership sales, activation, and consulting from new business development through execution for a variety of clients, including the Cubs, while Blackburn will lead sales of premier and group spaces and events.
The two will report to Cubs Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Colin Faulkner, who also will serve as senior vice president at Marquee Sports & Entertainment.
The current partnerships and sales teams at the Cubs also have become employees of the new entity. Marquee Sports & Entertainment will operate out of Chicago.
Marquee Sports & Entertainment's name derives from the iconic and world-famous Wrigley Field Marquee that has adorned the main entrance of Wrigley Field since 1934.
