RockYou Names Gaming Veteran Jonathan Knight Senior Vice President of Games

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- RockYou today announced the appointment of Jonathan Knight , former executive at Electronic Arts and Activision, as Senior Vice President of RockYou Games.

With over fifteen years of experience producing and directing games, Knight has been a major contributor to leading franchises like Star Trek, Quake, Wolfenstein, and The Simpsons. At EA's Maxis Studio, he produced several expansion packs to The Sims (the most successful PC game in history), and was Lead Producer and a creative leader for the universally-acclaimed The Sims 2. As Vice President and Executive Producer at EA's Visceral Games studio, he was the creator of the hit game, Dante's Inferno.

Prior to his nine-year tenure at Electronic Arts, Knight held a management position as Executive Producer at Activision.  He has also managed game production at other major publishers, including Interplay and Viacom New Media. Jonathan is a passionate gamer, and grew up playing and making games on the family Apple II that still sits in his office.
