NEW YORK, May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Judith and I extend our condolences, love and prayers to Beth, Zachary and all of Roger's family, including his Fox family. He was first and foremost a patriotic American who loved America deeply. He had a profound influence on American politics and the news media, which he transformed. He created the most successful news organization of our generation. He contributed to the election of Presidents and other American public offices. He also helped to create some of the most prominent news commentators and television journalists. The first time I ran for Mayor of New York City in 1989, Roger literally and figuratively taught me how to communicate as a candidate for public office, rather than a courtroom lawyer. Since then, we remained very close friends. He was a constant source of sensible advice, help, friendship in need and just a great deal of fun to be with. His wife Beth was his true partner in all of his achievements. She is a great woman and the way she cared for him at the end was a reflection of her love for him. She and Zachary and all of us are devastated by this loss, but we are also very proud to have had Roger Ailes and to have benefitted from his achievements.
