Rothstein Kass Approved to Issue Audit Opinions Regarding Irish Stock Exchange Entities

NEW YORK, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- International accounting, audit and advisory services firm Rothstein Kass (www.rkco.com) today announced that the firm's application for Registration of Third-Country Audit Entities in Accordance with European Commission Decision 2008/627/EC ("Application") has been approved by the Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority ("IAASA"). This transitional registration status allows Rothstein Kass to issue audit opinions regarding the financial statements of issuers incorporated outside the European Union/European Economic Area ("EU/EEA") whose transferable securities are admitted to trading on a regulated market in Ireland, for fiscal years commencing on or before June 30, 2010. This transitional registration is the only status currently available to CPA firms based outside of the EU/EEA. For future periods, a separate application process will be required by the EU/EEA.

Rothstein Kass and the "Big Four" are the only U.S.-based auditing firms who have obtained transitional registration status in Ireland. The five applications were all approved by the IAASA on March 12, 2010.
