ROYAL OAK, Mich., May 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- JW Design, the Royal Oak-based architectural and interior design firm specializing in health care, senior lifestyle, and educational facilities, has opened a new office in Duncansville, Pennsylvania with four full time staff members and several projects already in the pipeline.
JW Design's new employees came from Hayes Large, a Pennsylvania architectural firm that closed its doors in November 2015, presenting JW Design with an interesting, if unexpected, opportunity for growth.
"Both companies specialized in the same primary core areas – health and wellness facilities and educational buildings - and both companies put the client at the center of everything we do," says Joe Wronski, JW Design principal. "This specialized design requires intimate knowledge and expertise and we were happy to find a team that shares that focus and expertise."
The new relationship provides JW Design with representation in northeast and Mid-Atlantic states where it previously had none. Architect Pam Wronski will lead the Pennsylvania venture, with three other talented locally-based architectural staff joining the studio. The group will continue to develop current projects while also looking to grow the overall JW Design portfolio.
"We were delighted when we saw what a good fit we were with JW Design's business culture and design philosophy," says Russ Greaser, a former Hayes Large employee who now serves JW Design as a Project Coordinator. "Now we have a broader geography to work in and a strong team to work with us and support our efforts. Our combined goal is to create inspirational architecture that helps people perform and live life to their fullest potential."
According to Joe Wronski, JW Design's niche design expertise is in high demand as baby boomers age and seek modern living environments and rehabilitation facilities. "We've been managing our growth over the past few years with an eye on both strategic and opportunistic investments. Although we weren't looking exclusively in Pennsylvania, this opportunity to partner with respected, experienced professionals who had immediate project work in a market that was very similar to ours was just too good to pass."
Founded in 1984, JW Design and has completed nearly 1,000 projects in the Midwest. The company is currently working on a new rehabilitation facility at Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc, MI, and recently completed architectural and design work for WellBridge of Pinckney in Pinckney, MI.
