Rue & Ziffra Grants $1 Million+ in Holiday Cheer Throughout the Years, Caps Off 2018 by Fulfilling a Local Christmas Wish

At Rue & Ziffra, charity extends well beyond this time of year however. The law firm has donated well over $1 million and helped thousands of people in their philanthropic outreach since the firm's inception 40 years ago. 

"By virtue of what we see on a day-to-day basis in personal injury law, we unfortunately know some of the gravest situations this life has to offer," Allan Ziffra, the firm's founding partner, said. "Our overwhelming charitable contributions in both time and money are our simple way of making this world a little brighter place."

The firm donates to a charitable organization each month in a program they refer to as the "RZ Cares Project." A sampling of their efforts can be viewed online here.

In 2018, Rue & Ziffra supported more than 50 non-profit organizations in Volusia and Flagler Counties. "We have helped thousands of local people. It feels good to be able to give back to our community," Ziffra said. 

This year the firm also helped many Volusia and Flager county non-profit groups, including FUTURES Foundation of Volusia County Schools, Support Our Troops, No Longer Fatherless, Hope Reins, Halifax Urban Ministries and Halifax Health Foundation, among many others.

The firm regularly sponsors a Teen Safety Driving School, where student drivers are provided a hands-on experience to learn the fundamentals of driving and operating a vehicle under adverse conditions.

"Our firm was founded more than 40 years ago to help victims of auto and motorcycle accidents," Ziffra said. "This is another way we give back to the community by making new drivers more vigilant and our roads a safer place to navigate." 

Perhaps December brought the most exciting charitable effort: Letters to Santa. Members of the community were invited to submit their Christmas wish online by Dec, 14. The firm granted one fortunate recipient their wish; the announcement was made Dec. 20 on their Facebook page.
