Rue La La Brings Style Voice to Life Through Facebook Introducing Rue Social Correspondents

BOSTON, Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rue La La launches "Rue Social Correspondents," a first of its kind program in the flash sale space with exclusive content for Facebook fans; utilizing its social channels, Rue La La brings the style and personality of their own employees directly to Rue La La's Members in a unique format.

Powered by Buddy Media's social marketing suite, the Rue Social Correspondents are six Associates with varying positions at the company who auditioned for the opportunity to share their personal sense of style with the Rue La La community.  Armed with a "tool kit" including an iPad and flip camera, each individual was tasked with capturing their own original style content for distribution to Members and fans via their own "hub" on Rue La La's Facebook page. The hubs offer an inside scoop to their style secrets and links to their bio, Rue Twitter handle, videos and photos. With a casual and engaging voice, the Social Correspondents will talk about their roles, preferences, and daily life at Rue La La, offering fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter an unprecedented look into a leading fashion and lifestyle e-commerce company.

Safe" to Chris, who moonlights as a front-man for a Boston -based rock band whose style is characterized as "Guy-Next-Door."  Rue La La asked Associates eager to participate in the program to submit a video application showcasing their unique viewpoint and personal style.  More than 50 auditioned and six final Social Correspondents were chosen by Rue La La's social, creative and marketing teams.  

Each week, Rue La La will stream a one hour live video on the Facebook page, featuring the Social Correspondents in the Rue studio sharing more sides of their personalities, new tips or trends and offering a chance for members to converse in real time.
