BOSTON, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Rue La La, a leading private sale shopping destination, today announced the appointment of Robert Hall as Chief Marketing Officer, effective May 11, 2010. Hall will be responsible for Rue La La's long-term brand, marketing and customer communications strategy, including new membership acquisition, retention and engagement, membership feedback and brand partner positioning. Hall will report to Ben Fischman, Rue La La's CEO.

Hall joins Rue La La from the Boston Beer Company, where he served as Vice President of Brand Development since 2000. In that role, he managed a marketing team of 43 and was responsible for all marketing functions including developing a new brand strategy and advertising campaigns for the company. During his 10-year tenure, his leadership contributed to the significant increase in sales and strengthened Samuel Adams brand equity.
Prior to joining the Boston Beer Company, Hall worked at the Kellogg Company from September 1995 to July 2000, in various capacities including Vice President of Marketing for U.S. Natural and Functional Foods, Vice President of North America Cereal Innovation, and Director of Marketing for US Cereal New Products. Hall previously held positions at Kraft General Foods Canada, where he was responsible for elevating Jell-O to become one of the company's premier brands. Hall also oversaw brand management activities for Smith Kline Beecham in Toronto.
Hall received his Honors Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trent University.
