STAMFORD, Conn., Dec. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees at RUSK, the world-renown professional haircare and styling brand, watched sorrowfully as many homes and businesses in their area were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Among those businesses: salons that have loyally carried RUSK products for years.
In response to the devastation, members of the RUSK team visited 25 of the hardest-hit Long Island salons on Thursday, December 20, and Friday, December 21, donating over $35,000 in RUSK product that the brand hopes will help with their recovery while lifting their spirits during the holiday season.
Each salon will receive multiple units of the following:
- RUSK Designer Collection™ W8less™ Strong Hold Shaping and Control Hairspray
- RUSK W8less™ Plus Extra Strong Hold Shaping and Control Hairspray
- RUSK Designer Collection™ W8less™ Multi 12 in 1 Miracle Leave-In Treatment
- RUSK Hairdryers
"We are all aware of the tragic impact that Hurricane Sandy has had on our area," said RUSK Vice President of Marketing and Education, Heather Simmons. "We hope our gesture of support can make a long-lasting impact on these salons' recovery process."
