S2K Financial Expands Sales Team with Four New Hires

NEW YORK, June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- S2K Financial, a wholesale broker-dealer focused on distributing innovative, retail investor-focused financial products through Independent Broker-Dealer (IBD) and Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) firms, continued the build-out of its sales team with four new members, effective immediately. The new hires are Brendan McLaughlin, Regional Vice President, South Central region based in Texas; Kurt Gunderson, Vice President, North Central region, based in Minnesota; Felix Vera, Regional Sales Associate, based in New York City, and Michael Roman, National Accounts Wholesaler.

The new hires closely follow the recent addition of other accomplished industry leaders, including Megan Smith as Director of National Accounts for S2K Financial, and David Fred, formerly the head of due diligence at Cetera Financial Group, the nation's second largest network of independent financial advisors, as Senior Vice President of Due Diligence for S2K Servicing, an affiliate company of S2K Financial that provides an operations platform supporting the needs of institutional managers.

Brendan McLaughlin's past experience includes business development, management, REITs, mutual funds and annuities. He most recently served as Regional Vice President for Lightstone Capital Markets. Kurt Gunderson has served as Vice President for several financial organizations, most recently in REIT sales with Lightstone Group. Felix Vera previously worked in sales, product training and management positions with Lightstone Capital and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Michael Roman most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Capital Markets for MCI Megatel Capital Investments, developing and organizing capital raising strategies.
