Barracuda has released the latest version in its NG Firewall product line, which includes a number of new features and updates designed to simplify setup, administration and management. Barracuda NG Firewall now includes self-service configuration for remote end users usingMacOS, Windows and iOS to configure their VPN connection in a few clicks. The latest version also allows administrators to activate SafeSearch and YouTube for Schools enforcement in the firewall rules settings. With the new version, Barracuda released the new Barracuda NG Firewall Remote iOS application, designed for system administrators needing simple access to NG control centers from iOS devices. The latest version of Barracuda NG Firewall is available immediately at no additional charge to existing customers on the current hardware platform with an active Energize Updates subscription. The Barracuda NG Firewall U.S. list price starts at $599 USD for the appliance and U.S. list price of $99 USD for Energize Updates (one-year subscription). An optional Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) subscription is available for models F200 and higher and starts at U.S. list price of $399 USD per year.

An optional Instant Replacement service featuring priority replacement of failed hardware and complimentary refresh of four-year old hardware units is available starting at U.S. list price of $99 USD per year.
