Salus Hospice Hires Shanna Midland - New Director of Community Relations
IRVINE, Calif., April 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As a nationally accredited and consumer focused home care agency, Salus Homecare takes pride in recruiting and retaining top talent. The team of professionals that make up this dynamic agency are fully focused on providing quality care at home that respects the dignity and individuality of each patient, regardless of an individual's needs or what stage the patient is at in the disease process. Today, Salus Homecare proudly announces the latest addition to their dedicated team and welcomes Shanna Midland to the role of Director of Community Relations for Salus Hospice.
Shanna graduated from UCLA and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 12 years. While this experience provided her with a wealth of knowledge surrounding various diseases and innovative medical technology, she was missing her true calling. Shanna's goal was always to use her combined skill sets in communication and medicine to provide compassionate, personalized care. In her own words, "hospice was the perfect fit.--"
Taking on the role of Director of Community Relations is no small feat, but Shanna has proven to be up to the challenge. With a primary goal of providing oversight for marketing and community relations for Salus Hospice, Shanna will strategically work to further the reputation of this important division of Salus Homecare and increase awareness in the community. Within the agency and throughout the community, she will provide thoughtful supervision to the community relations team and build stronger relationships with other healthcare professionals through education regarding end of life care.
Management personnel at Salus Homecare are excited to have Shanna join them and share her wealth of knowledge, experience and skills. Their approach has always been to act as a team, strategically working together to resolve problems and further their mission of excellence. Shanna has already proven to be an integral link in this model.
Debbie Robson, Vice President of Hospice Services states, "I am thrilled to have Shanna join our team at Salus Hospice. She shares our philosophy of patient centered care, and she obviously has a heart for hospice!"
Shanna's 'heart for hospice' is central to her success in this important position. She understands the deep emotional experiences surrounding hospice care and the value of a compassionate, calming team who place value on every stage of life, helping patients to live every day to the fullest. Dignified end of life care is vital to our community, and professionals like Shanna help others to understand that and seek out the support they need, when they need it most.
Thus far, the relationship Shanna's transition into this role has been a seamless one that enhances the services provided by Salus Hospice and places a shining light on the potential this agency holds for the future.
"Shanna fits beautifully into our brand at Salus Hospice," states Debbie Robson. "We share core values related to the delivery of expert, caring and compassionate hospice care."
