San Diego Business Chamber Announces Appointment Of Jan Jones To Its Board Of Directors
SAN DIEGO, June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- North San Diego Business Chamber recently announced the appointment of Jan Jones, RN, BSN, FAAMA to the Chamber's Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2014. Ms. Jones is the President and CEO of The Elizabeth Hospice, the region's oldest and largest nonprofit hospice provider, serving San Diego and South Riverside Counties.

The announcement and induction of incoming Board Members took place at the Chamber's annual "Celebration of Business" Award Dinner on June 18, 2014 at the San Diego Marriott La Jolla.

Jan Jones was appointed president and CEO of The Elizabeth Hospice on July 1, 2012. With more than two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Ms. Jones, a registered nurse, brings a strong background in management and growth of successful community-based hospice programs and services. Ms. Jones is a well-respected leader in the hospice and palliative care movement and an active participant on the state and national levels of hospice organizations and government arenas. She has held leadership positions at the national level with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), based in Washington DC, and currently serves on its Board. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Hospice Foundation.
From a local and global perspective, Ms. Jones believes in the importance in addressing the unmet needs for those affected by a serious or life-limiting illness, and is committed to identifying solutions in meeting those needs, with the goal of improving quality of life and ensuring access to exceptional end-of-life care.
