Santa Clara Business Expo Promotes New & Upcoming Opportunities for Local Suppliers
August 9, 2012 Expo Offers Business Opportunities with Fortune 500 Corporations & Entrepreneurs
OAKLAND, Calif., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 9 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, the Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC) will be hosting its 34th Annual Expo, the most successful, largest, and longest-running Minority Business Opportunity Expo in Northern California. "Success: It's Time to Own It" will be held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and welcomes all suppliers, buyers, and corporate representatives from across California and nationwide to participate. All companies looking to learn about new and upcoming bids are encouraged to attend to gain access to over 300 business opportunities from corporations like Union Bank, Chevron Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo, Brocade, Cisco, Apple Inc., AT&T, Comcast, HP, McKesson Corporation, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Robert Half International, and Virgin America, among others. In addition to gaining quality face time with buyers and suppliers through in-booth meetings and one-on-one matchmaking appointments, attendees will also enjoy a full buffet breakfast and decadent For the Love of Chocolate Break Session.
The theme of the Expo, "Success: It's Time to Own It," encourages companies to accept responsibility for both successes and failures and to take steps to actively grow their businesses by participating in expos and trade shows, business-to-business spend, and corporation-led procurement events. "When it comes to supplier development," says Scott A. Vowels, NCMSDC President, "each of us must take ownership of what we need to succeed. Entrepreneurs cannot rely on others to hand them an opportunity that may lead to a contract. We must take charge of our own success. We can no longer look to blame the economy, our competitors, our customers, those potential customers we have been chasing for years with no results, and so on. We all have the potential to dynamically grow and shape our own success, and at this year's Expo I will be asking each of our attendees to join me in owning that success."
2012 NCMSDC Minority Business Opportunity Expo tickets are available for purchase until August 1 at http://2012ncmsdcexpo.eventbrite.com/.
